In early 2018, the chairman of a CRE lender told us about a lack of products to automate the manual activity involved in originating and auditing a CRE lending portfolio. We sat down with several lenders and mapped out their underwriting processes, and found that talented underwriters and analysts spend most of their time reading through documents and pulling info from all sorts of sources, pasting these into spreadsheets or systems.
We worked alongside of these underwriters and analysts to develop an artificial intelligence machine learning solution that would handle the data gathering, number crunching, and document reading for them. We went commercial in early 2020, bringing our unique solution to CRE lenders around the country.

In 2004, he co-founded MaintenanceNet, a SaaS platform that automated how companies managed and transacted annuity businesses. Shayne sold the company to Cisco Systems in 2015 for $139M. In 2018 Shayne co-founded Blooma and became its CEO.

He was recognized in 2015 as San Diego Magazine’s “Top Technology Executive”. Prior to joining Blooma, Tal ran operations for MaintenanceNet, and post-acquisition he led Operations and data science for Cisco with a team of more than 500 analysts, scientists, and support professionals.
An accomplished technology pioneer and entrepreneur, Shy has more than 29 years of experience leading technology research, design, and development with specific expertise in Big Data, AI, Machine & Deep Learning, Data Normalization, and Crawling. Shy was recognized as a technologist of extraordinary ability by the US government for his knowledge and experience in creating auto-translating, multi-protocol middleware solutions.
A revenue and growth leader with more than 25 years of experience in the financial technology sector, Jeff builds high-performing sales and client success teams at innovative and industry-leading fintech companies. Prior to joining Blooma, Jeff was an early employee at Addepar and Capital IQ (acquired by S&P), where he led go-to-market initiatives and partnered with banks, lenders, asset/wealth managers, institutions, and family offices.
