Blooma is a web-based platform that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to automate the underwriting process and allows CRE professionals to evaluate (and close) more deals in less time. We’re looking for an AI Scientist to help automate information retrieval and forecasting for commercial real estate lenders. In this role, you’ll apply Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning technologies to assist in financial processes such as data extraction from unstructured documents, as well as forecasting outcomes for complex financial deals.

You should be interested in building a product from scratch and excited about working with private data. A strong background in Data Science/CS/AI or software engineering/quantitative field with additional specialization in machine learning is required.

Responsibilities 
  • Build and deploy NLP/ML models for data extraction from multiple unstructured and semi-structured documents
  • Process large quantities of complex data and forecast financial outcomes of long-term deals
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to discuss and design new products, features and enhancements
Required Education & Experience
  • M.S. or Ph D in Computer Science (or relevant field) with a focus on NLP or Machine Learning
  • 5+ years of NLP/ML experience (e.g., Entity Extraction, Topic Modeling, Text Classification)
  • Proven experience in building industry strength systems
  • Proven experience in processing large sets of data
  • Experience in Java is mandatory
  • Experience in the financial industry is a plus

    Principal Product Manager (SaaS)

    Blooma is the leading AI-powered digital underwriting platform for commercial real estate lending. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to direct product development and ensure high return on investment. You’ll translate ideas into user stories and execute the product roadmap.

    This is a high-profile role working in a fast-paced environment and demands a dynamic individual with great communications skills, acumen and the ability to assimilate lots of information quickly. We are looking for a strong candidate with proven experience in SaaS B2B products, along with specific subject matter expertise in commercial real estate, banking, prop tech, or other fintech.

    Responsibilities 
    • Document requirements and write user epics and stories
    • Maintain and groom backlog
    • Help define product strategy and competitive positioning
    • Work with management and key stakeholders to understand objectives & key problems, and transform them into product roadmaps, business and functional requirements, as well as technical specifications
    • Have a high degree of creativity and innovation with a proven track record in working on complex projects
    • Drive product and feature development through the agile scrum process
    • Understand and practice product management best practices by evaluating each new product feature for usability, simplicity, maintainability, and ROI
    • Create streamlined user experiences that promote product adoption and stickiness
    • Serve as scrum product owner in a development scrum team
    • Identify workflow bottlenecks and streamline processes
    • Drive the implementation of new features, as well as resolve operational issues
    • Monitor and incorporate industry and technology innovations into the product roadmap
    Required Experience
    • 5+ years of software (SaaS/B2B) Product Management experience is a MUST
    • Background in at least one of the following a strong advantage: banking, financial services, credit analysis, asset management, commercial real estate
    • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent SaaS products
    • Experience with agile, requirements, and scrum tools (JIRA)
    • Business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, use cases, user stories, and producing clear and concise documentation
    • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent
    • History of leveraging product adoption data and/or customer insights to drive strong product adoption
